Indianapolis’s First Cemetery
While early settlers, prominent local citizens, and public figures were said to have been buried in the cemetery, the cemetery’s genealogy is not well-documented.
Community Advisory Group
The Henry Street Bridge project provides a unique opportunity to trace the cemetery’s genealogy and add to Indianapolis’s history.
The City of Indianapolis is partnering with local experts who form a Community Advisory Group (CAG) to advise the City and better document the history of Greenlawn and the related cemeteries. As documentation is discovered, it will be added to this website.
